With regard to arbitration and conflict resolution, the nature of the firm’s practice (all members are skilled in both counseling and litigation) has lead the firm to be the counsel of choice for complex litigation (specially in the field of finance and taxation) that may be handled by neither big firm’s litigation departments – who are generally not acquainted with sophisticated international financial issues – or by big firm’s banking or financial teams who are generally not skilled in litigation, nor by the interaction between them, due to the lack of coordination and agility that this entails. Representing a major European bank, the firm has recently won the Supreme Court leading case that rejected and declared unconstitutional, the ‘pesification’ of inter-banking currency forward agreements enacted by the Argentine Government and Congress.
